CIS Requested for Firearms: Kyle Oja

The City attorney and 2nd Precinct are requesting Community Impact Statements (CIS) regarding Kyle Oja specifically, or narcotics generally. You can submit a CIS via e-mail to the 2nd Precinct at 2precinctimpact@ci.minneapolis.mn.us. The submission deadline is October 20th.

Kyle Charles Oja Booking PhotoKyle Charles Oja (Date of Birth: 7/21/1987) is charged with illegal possession of a firearm and narcotics. Oja is also charged with 2nd Degree Burglary as a separate case.


Officers executed a search warrant at 1707 Grand Street NE. A quantity of crystal methamphetamine was recovered as well as a rifle and shotgun. Oja was booked into Hennepin County Jail for possession of a controlled substance as well as a felon in possession of a firearm. All evidence was recovered and inventoried.

Impact statements are used by Police Officers, Probation Officers, City and County Attorneys and the Courts to show the negative impact an individual has on a community. This is the community’s opportunity to speak out on individuals whose activities affect their sense of safety and well-being in their neighborhood.
