The StarTribune reports:
On Monday, a man was shot near L&M Car Wash at Marshall Street and Lowry Avenue NE. about 4 p.m., Minneapolis police said.
The man staggered across Marshall to the door of Tony Jaros' Riverside Garden bar and was found lying in the entryway, said Sgt. Jesse Garcia, a police spokesman. The shooting victim was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he died a short time later, Garcia said.
The shootings don't appear to be related, Garcia said, but investigators will look into the possibility. They are the 14th and 15th homicides in the city this year, compared with 27 at this point last year.
But the time of day was on the radar of police.
"It's always a concern," Garcia said of the two afternoon shootings. "It shows the brazenness involved."
