Reconnecting with Past Patrollers

What might we do to encourage people who didn't make it out much this year to walk more next year? It's natural and acceptable that a person's participation goes up and down, but are we *turning people off* or neglecting something?

Good point. We should bully people into joining, like the mob did in New York. I'm a bit soft when it comes to being hard-nosed, but I do have connections with an experienced arsonist. Put together a task force to see who'll cooperate and who'll resist. Give me the name of the resisters and we'll have their places torched. Of course, we'd take out insurance policies on our targets. Think of it as a fund-raiser. Within weeks, we can buy mini-Hummer's old ride and make it the NECP-mobile! (remember, our comments are only a test run for Mark; just making sure the postings work correctly and are displayed chronologically (not that I don't think that the idea is pure, pure genius!!!!)).

I feel that we shouldn't

I feel that we shouldn't have to give people free things to get them to join, people should want to join our group to better their neighborhood. If people feel included and that they are making a difference they will join/stay in the group.

I think the success of the

I think the success of the NECP banquet is a testament as to what ingredients are needed to improve participation and increase membership. If we can get our hands on some more of those blue tickets John had that night and offer them as an incentive, we'll get to the point where we have to turn people away.
