When should you call 311 and 911

We have had a couple issues and questions recently about whether a call should go to 311 or 911.

When to call 311 = when you are looking to ask a question, get information on city services, or talk to a city employee directly, but don't know their phone number or which person specifically you should talk to.

Free Personal Safety Workshop on Saturday and Citizens Academy

* There will be a Free Personal Safety Workshop on Saturday, February 20th at Northeast Middle School, 2929 Hayes St NE at 10:00 a.m. sponsored by the Minneapolis Police Department. Learn to recognize a possible attack in the making and what role distance awareness, body language, tone of voice, etc. can play.
