Sex Offender Moves to Beltrami Neighborhood

The Minneapolis Police Department will be hosting a meeting on Tuesday, May 26th, 2008, from 7pm–8:30 at Northeast Park (1615 Pierce St NE) regarding James Michael Weegman. Residents are encouraged to download and distribute this meeting notification flyer (pdf).

James Michael Weegman (DOB: 5/05/1978) has advised the Minneapolis Police Department that he is living in our community and is residing in the area of the 12xx block of Spring Street NE (the Beltrami neighborhood).
WEEGMAN IS NOT WANTED BY THE POLICE AT THIS TIME.

White Male, 6’-1”, 205 pounds, medium build, green eyes, medium complexion, very short blond hair, and clean shaven.

DESCRIPTION OF OFFENSE:

This offender’s victim pool are minor-aged males and females, ages 5 to 12. In 2004 Mr. Weegman violated a 5-year-old male when he was a live-in boyfriend to the victim’s mother. His self-described preferences for pre-pubescent children are documented. Further, he has a past history of window peeping and theft of female undergarments.

Booking Photo Not AvailableMyron Harry Cloud (Date of Birth: 6/25/1990) is charged with 1st Degree Aggravated Robbery, a Felony. On April 22, 2009 at the 15xx block of New Brighton Blvd (Quarry Shopping Center), an elderly victim was walking to her vehicle. She put her groceries in the trunk of her car and shut the trunk. As the victim began to walk around the car towards the driver’s door, she was approached by two males who were partially covering their faces with their clothing and demanded that the victim give them her car. The victim began to back up and yelled for help. The two males then began to walk away. A witness observed the female in distress and learned that the two males had attempted to steal her car. The witness observed the males then get on two bicycles and then ride off. The witness and victim both gave physical descriptions of the two males who were then observed in the area of 19th and Johnson by another squad. They were both arrested and brought back to the scene. Both the witness and the victim positively ID’d the two males that tried to rob her. Myron Harry Cloud was transported to the Robbery Unit.

Editor’s Note: Cloud is also charged in 3 other cases, including a theft in Bloomington, and Lurking with Intent in Minneapolis. His bail is $100,000. All cases are scheduled for court on May 11th.

On March 6, 2009, at the 18xx block of Central Ave NE, officers executed a search warrant and a weighable amount of crystal methamphetamine was recovered. Thomas Paul Underheim was booked into the Hennepin County Jail.

Basketball Game Ends in Gunfire

The StarTribune reports of a shooting last night at Northeast Park’s rec center:

An argument over a basketball game at a northeast Minneapolis recreation center flared out of control when someone pulled a gun, leaving one young man shot in the torso and sending about 20 kids fleeing for cover.

On September 9, 2008, at the 18xx block of Johnson St NE, officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress. Officers observed two persons matching the description given by a witness. Levercom fled and was apprehended near the corner of Johnson and 18th Ave NE. Levercom was booked Hennepin County Jail.

On August 21, 2008, an MPD officer stopped a vehicle for equipment violations at Broadway and New Brighton Boulevard. Nazareth Michael Myers was booked for narcotics.

The Minneapolis Police Department will be hosting a meeting on Wednesday, August 13th, 2008, from 7pm–8:30 at Northeast Park (1615 Pierce St NE) regarding John Clifford Heggem.

John Clifford Heggem (DOB: 6/14/1939) has advised the Minneapolis Police Department that he is living in our community and is residing in the area of the 16xx block of Taylor St NE (the Northeast Park neighborhood).
HEGGEM IS NOT WANTED BY THE POLICE AT THIS TIME.

White Male, 5’-8”, 205 lbs, medium build, blue eyes, medium complexion, medium length blond/greying hair, and a light mustache.

DESCRIPTION OF OFFENSE:

This offender’s sexual offenses date back to the 1980s with his conviction taking place in 1991. Victim was a minor aged female step child. Offenses occurred over a 6 year period and recalled repeated sexual abuse over time. A prior conviction took place in 1978 for his having sexual contact with minor aged females which were determined to be his daughters. Supervision of this offender will extend to 06/21/2016. The victim pool
for this offender are minor aged females aged 7 to 13.
