9-Year-Old Arsonist Sets Fire on Jackson Street

A 14-year-old and nine-year-old were arrested Wednesday morning after an arson at a vacant home in northeast Minneapolis.

Fire broke out around 7 p.m. at a home on the 900 block of 18th Ave. NE.

Fire Response Times Good for Most of Eastside

The StarTribune offers this map of fire response times city-wide.

Most of the Eastside is in the best category. Marshall Terrace, Columbia Park and the Southeast Industrial areas, however, suffer waits of over 5 minutes over half the time they call for help.
