RNC Protests Lead to Release of Sex Offender

September 10; Minneapolis: WCCO’s website reports a convicted sex offender was mistakenly released from Ramsey County Jail last Tuesday. Sheriff Bob Fletcher attributes the error to the unusually heavy workload resulting from convention protestor arrests.

The offender was found later the same day in Minneapolis, and is now back in custody.
