Impact Statements Requested for Livability Crimes: Randy McNellis

The City attorney and 2nd Precinct are requesting Community Impact Statements (CIS) regarding Randy McNellis specifically, or livability crimes generally. McNellis was arrested in south Minneapolis, but is a 2nd Precinct top offender (pdf) for crimes such as disorderly conduct, loitering, and trespassing. You can submit a CIS via e-mail to the 2nd Precinct at 2precinctimpact@ci.minneapolis.mn.us. The submission deadline is September 5th.

McNellis, Randy Booking PhotoRandy Patrick McNellis (Date of Birth: 12/06/1955) is charged with Loiter with Open Bottle, Disorderly Conduct, and Public Urination. On June 8, 2008, police were dispatched to a public urination call. Witness advised that at 3:06pm Randy Patrick McNellis urinated between 12th St S and Nicollet Mall. McNellis was cited and taken to Detox.

On August 19, 2008, Randy Patrick McNellis was issued a 4th Judicial District Release receipt for Loitering with an open bottle and transported to detox.

On August 21, 2008, Transit Police squads were dispatched to the bus stop at Franklin Ave E and Nicollet Ave S for a group of drunk and disorderly individuals. Randy Patrick McNellis was booked into Hennepin County Jail.
