Open Comments

Have you had a reaction or a rebuttal to something posted here on the Defender? Have you held you tongue?

Set it free!

The Eastside Defender always welcomes your input. We understand that you might be too busy to register an account. Or, sometimes just logging in is a pain.

In celebration of our nation’s independence and her spirit of liberty, the Defender now allows anonymous comments. No more hassles, and no more worries about saying the wrong thing. Exercise your freedom of speech.

We do, however, want you to register and log in. The first benefit is immediate and unmoderated posting of your comments. You'll also have the ability to create classified ads, and be ready to take advantage of members-only features as the Defender grows and expands.

But, we're not just throwing open the gates. Anonymous comments will have to be approved. This is necessary to filter out spam and robots, and to maintain some level of decency. We will approve comments unflattering to us, the NECP, or our allies. Just try not to swear.

React to one of our old stories, or consider this one an open invitation for your thoughts. Now, go ahead and let freedom ring.
