Fire Response Times Good for Most of Eastside

The StarTribune offers this map of fire response times city-wide.

Most of the Eastside is in the best category. Marshall Terrace, Columbia Park and the Southeast Industrial areas, however, suffer waits of over 5 minutes over half the time they call for help.

Residents and workers in those areas might need to make an extra effort testing smoke alarms and providing fire extinguishers.
